LinkedIn is an online platform designed to help professionals network and share content.
Did you know that LinkedIn launched in May of 2003 and by August of 2004 it had reached 1 million users, and by April 2007 10 million users. Searching back it was really viewed as an online curriculum vitae allowing profiles to include work experience, education and training, skills along with a few personal details such as a photo. The original idea was to connect job searchers with job posters using networks as connectors. That really hasn’t changed but there is so much more possible with the tools available now.
