Not a finished theory. A body of work built across systems and tested in real life.
The same problem kept appearing in different systems.
Education. Military service. Learning design. Technology. Entrepreneurship. Health disruption. Institutional failure.
The environments changed; the pattern did not. Human lives were being divided into parts and then judged as though the fragmentation belonged to the person.
Aspirateering grew from the refusal to keep treating fragmented systems as though the fragmentation belonged to the person — and from years of asking what humans become capable of when inquiry, competency, lived experience, and real conditions are allowed to work together.
Human performance, learning design, inquiry, and lived systems work.
My doctorate is in Instructional Design for Online Learning. The larger formation crosses education, computer science, web development, human performance, competency-based learning, entrepreneurship, and research conducted inside lived conditions.
Designing for transfer, competence, inquiry, and performance across educational levels and contexts.
Studying what helps people function, adapt, build capacity, and act under changing conditions.
Creating Aspirateering, naming the Fragmentation Tax, shaping the Aspirateer identity, and building the Proving Grounds preparation and Bridge to Bearings work inside the discipline.
Running the inquiry under load rather than treating people as abstractions outside the work.
The work is being built in public.
